First State Bank of Colorado offers four checking account types, and there is one to fit your needs!
No Frills Checking: A No Frills Checking account offers basic checking account functionality without the monthly fee. No Frills Checking accounts require an opening deposit of $100 and come with online statements only. No Frills Checking customers purchase their own checks.
Regular Checking: A Regular Checking account offers a choice of online or paper statements with check images. Regular Checking accounts require a minimum opening deposit of $100 and generate a monthly service charge of $5 if the balance in the account falls below $300, though monthly fees are not charged if the balance stays above that level. Senior, minor, non-profit, student accounts to age 23, and active duty military with direct deposit may all be eligible for waived monthly service charges. Checks may be purchased through the Bank’s preferred vendor. Selected check styles are free to senior and active military accounts.
Timberline Checking: A Timberline Checking account offers a choice of online or paper statements with check images. The Timberline Checking account requires a minimum opening deposit of $1,000. There is no service charge for accounts that maintain a balance of at least $1,000. If the account balance falls below that level, a monthly service charge of $10 will be applied. Timberline Checking accounts are available only to consumer account customers and are interest bearing accounts. Please contact the Bank for current rates. Checks may be purchased through the Bank’s preferred vendor.
Commercial Checking: Commercial Checking accounts offer a choice of online or paper statements with check images. Commercial Checking accounts require a minimum opening deposit of $100 and generate a monthly service charge of $6.
