Wire Transfer Service
A wire transfer is an immediate electronic funds transfer made between banks on behalf of a customer. First State Bank of Colorado has the ability to receive or send wire transfers both domestically and internationally according to the guidelines listed below…
Incoming Wires: The Bank may receive funds by wire transfer on behalf of any account holder. Incoming wires must be initiated by contacting the sending bank and may not be ordered by contacting the receiving bank (First State Bank). If you are expecting funds to be delivered to your FSBC account by wire transfer, the following information must be supplied to the sender of a domestic wire:

*Please contact the Bank for specific instructions if you are expecting an international wire transfer.
Should you wish to be contacted upon receipt of an expected wire transfer, simply let us know how you would like to be contacted. Funds received prior to the Bank’s end-of-day cut off of 3pm will be posted to the recipient’s account on the date of receipt. Funds received after end-of-day will be posted on the following business day. Wired funds are considered “collected” funds and will be available for over-the-counter withdrawal immediately, upon receipt. Please see the Bank’s current Schedule of Fees for fee information related to the receipt of funds by wire transfer.
Outgoing Wires: A domestic wire transfer may be accomplished for any customer under the following circumstances: Only “collected” funds may be wired out of the Bank. Some checks or other financial instruments may be held by the Bank, and thus unavailable to wire until the deposited item clears the Bank. Please inquire about hold times if you plan to wire funds derived from a deposited item, a hold may delay your wire transfer.
Customers must normally visit the Bank in person to fill out and sign a Wire Transfer Request form. In some cases, the Bank may allow a customer to initiate a wire transfer by telephone or other form of remote communication. Not-in-person wire transfers over $1,000 will not be permitted without the appropriate Remote Wire Transfer Agreement form on file with the Bank. This form must contain an original signature and will stipulate under what circumstances the customer will permit the Bank to conduct a wire transfer on their behalf. Domestic wires will be initiated on the same business day if request is received prior to 2:30pm Mountain Time. International wires must be requested prior to 1:30pm Mountain Time. Outgoing wires are subject to fees as outlined in the most recent Schedule of Fees.
